Why we say “A Little Shop”

Why we say “A Little Shop”

I grew up behind the sofa.
This, some of you will realize, is a reference to Doctor Who, the longest running, and arguably best, sci-fi TV series in the world.
Back then, when I was a small boy, the show was scary. It was never a horror show, but it was scary in a family-oriented-TV-show way. Young fans were said to be too scared to come out from behind the sofa, but could still watch over the top. You didn’t want to miss a moment!

Over the many years of the show it has had a variety of culture-distilling moments, (sink plungers anyone?), this is a more modern one.

From the David Tennant era, with Frema Agyeman in “Smith and Jones.”
